| Abstract | Bayesian probabilistic method has became more popular in the past decade. The method can be used to evaluate and improve the confidence of a predictive model. Furthermore, it can also be employed to shed light on the fundamental mechanisms of a phenomenologically-based model from a statistical perspective. This paper first reviews some recent major developments of the method. It is followed by discussing its potential application to the development of urban infrastructure. A few applications that are currently investigating by the authors will be discussed. |
