AbstractThis chapter presents a brief reflection on the author's experience in teaching and (co) elaboration of the teaching program of the Chinese-Portuguese Interpretation course for Portuguese language in Guangzhou, southern China. The point of our discussion will be: serving the interpreter - or the intercultural speaker - as a bridge and agent to facilitate communication between such diverse cultural and linguistic universes, what is the space for the target language culture (s) and the intercultural discussion in the Interpretation classes for PLE students? In addition to this, we would also like to stimulate the discussion of the need for the teaching of the Interpretation for PFL Chinese learners to be rethought as a fertile space for the (re)creation, discussion and production of meanings that amplify and to reproduce positive and inclusive attitudes towards improving mutual understanding and communication between the universes of Portuguese-speaking Countries (PLP) and the universes of Chinese languages ​​and cultures. Our discussion will have two main supporters. The first support, investigative and empirical, is based on two lines of research begun in 2012: one on the impact of the Interpretation practices on students of PFL in Guangzhou (Jatobá, 2013, 2015) and another on linguistic ideologies and individual differences in PFL contexts in China (Jatobá, 2014). The second support is based on informal exchanges of experiences and experiences among actors involved in the PFL teaching / learning process in Mainland China.
