AbstractIn this paper the recently proposed exponential-polynomial-closure method is extended for obtaining the non-stationary probability density function (PDF) of nonlinear stochastic oscillators. Numerical results are presented to show the effectiveness of this method. The extension of this procedure to multi-degree-of-freedom system is straightforward for obtaining the non-stationary solution.
