Abstract | It is still quite fresh to many people that mobile finance service providers originate from non-bank third-party financial service providers, especially in developing countries. This article explains the factors affecting the adoption of embedded mobile finance functions offered by non-bank third-party financial service providers. Variables related to psychological viewpoints such as personal innovativeness, flow experience, social influence, perceived risk, and variables related to product-characteristic viewpoints such as perceived financial benefit and perceived financial cost are incorporated into the theoretical research model. Additionally, mediation effects of flow experience, perceived ease of use, perceived financial benefit and cost on the relationship between personal innovativeness, social influence and behavioral intention to use embedded mobile finance functions were studied. Results indicate that personal innovativeness significantly influences behavioral intention to use embedded mobile finance functions offered by third parties via the mediation of flow experience and perceived financial benefit, while social influence significantly influences behavioral intention via the mediation of perceived financial benefit and cost. The findings yield valuable contributions to the design strategy of mobile finance applications for non-bank third-party financial service providers. |
