Abstract | The protection of interests in what may be broadly described as ‘personality’ has always been a core theme in tort discourse. The rapid development of information and communications technology in recent decades has brought new challenges to this area. Old questions resurface and metamorphosize, and new questions emerge, making this an important research topic for tort law scholars all over the world. The questionnaire is divided into two parts: (1) general questions about the legal framework for the protection of the so called ‘personality’ interests, and (2) questions about the protection of specific interests. The first part focuses on the scope of the protection of these interests and on the remedies available for their infringement. The second part focuses on the protection of concrete interests: privacy, personal information, reputation, and dignity. The questionnaire puts forward questions about the specific ways these interests are recognized and protected, in order to optimize the comparative analysis. |
