| Abstract | The existence of a shereholders´duty of loyalty in German companies was recognized in the first decades of the 20th century. But seen as a result of the spirit of the time, it was pratically abandoned after the fall of the Nazi regime. Only in the last quarter of the 20th century a shreholders´duty of loyalty would again be accepted in companies. The present article describes the process of recognition of the existence of a shareholders´duty of loylaty in German public companies. |
