| Abstract | The article focus the legal reform that culminated in the enactement of Macau's Commercial Code. The article is divided in five chapters. The first a short introduction; the second, describes the legal situation in Macau in what relates to commercial matters before 1999; the third,shows the divergence that mainly after April 1974 has kept growing beween Portugal and Macau commercial laws; the fourth, presents the general trends of the reform, and identifies some examples of comparative law that were source of solutions in the Commercial COde. Fonally, the fifth number, refers to the influence that Macau's Commercial Code had in the legal reform of Mozambique and East-Timor. |
