This article reviews the development process of Chinese juvenile delinquency research and the current level of those research. The research faces many challenges and overall remain weak in development. One approach to the development is to apply the framework of Asian criminology paradigm to promote the development of research of juvenile delinquency. The paper reviews the experience of international juvenile delinquency research and current research hotspots, including basic research and applied research. Lastly, the paper explains the progress of establishing the Chinese paradigm of the Juvenile Delinquency research, and call for the acceleration of this process.
