Abstract

Cultivating capabilities for thinking is crucial for education. However, for long time in the theory and practice of education in Chinese culture, problem-posing has not gained much attention. In this article the authors analyze the art and technique of problem-posing frameworks in Philosophy for Children (P4C) by discussing Thomas E. Johnson’s “The Good Thinker’s Toolkit” as a starting point to address this issue.
