This paper examines the adaptation of Tolkien’s work during and after the Covid-19 pandemic, focusing on the Amazon Prime Video series The Rings of Power (2022) and comparing it with the films by Sir Peter Jackson. The key issue addressed is the impact of the coronavirus experience on the issues, themes, and values of the first season of the series.
