Compact wideband phase shifter based on multi-mode resonator

Abstract

A compact wideband phase shifter is proposed in this article. The phase shifter consists of a multi-mode resonator is miniaturized to a "Z"shape. The simulation results of two phase shifters based on two mode resonators and three mode resonators are presented respectively. The wokinging bandwidth of the first phase shifter 5.56-9.64 GHz(53.7%),the size is 1.94×2.53 cm, and the phase error is less than 3.1°. The working band of second phase shifter is 4.47-9.27 GHz(69.9%),the size is 2.48×2.83 cm and the phase error is less than 3.8°.The designed phase shifter has the characteristics of wideband, small size and high precision, and has a good application prospect in communication system.
