Abstract | The reflector is one of the most important components of the antenna, and the shape of the reflector has a great effect on many parameters of the antenna, especially the radiation pattern and the front-to-back ratio (FBR). In this paper, the influence of different shapes of reflectors of the antenna is analyzed by taking the dual-polarized crisscross-shaped dipole antenna with coupling feed as an example. The antenna is designed to operate in the band of 0.69-0.96GHz (with S11<-10 dB), which can cover the lower frequency band of 5G communication. After analysis, compared with the most commonly used flat reflector, the bending-typed reflector can increase the FBR by 10dB, and the circular groove shaped reflector can increase the FBR by 15dB. At the same time, the operating frequency band and radiation pattern of the antenna remains basically stable. |
