AbstractRare-earth chromium perovskite has got lots of attention in the field of material physics and chemistry since 1953 (Hanawalt & Hanawalt, 1953), due to its interesting structural and magnetic properties. The magnetic properties and electronic band structure are the most concerning and have been widely reported (Yoshii, 2001). The structure of perovskite makes it can integrate many kinds of elements, which may lead to structure distortion and further changes in magnetic and electronic properties (Chapter 2). Among them, LaCrO3 is fascinating. Due to the interaction between 4f and 3d orbitals, their optical and magnetic properties are complex. Because of the Cr3+-O-Cr3+ superexchange interaction, when the temperature is below the Néel temperature, LaCrO3 has a canted G-type antiferromagnetic insulating ground state (Siddique et al., 2021). So, in this report, we will manipulate the doping level in LaCrO3 to form La0.95CrO3 and La1.05CrO3 to see how their magnetic and structural properties change.
