Abstract

This paper illustrates that a study of liquid sensing by Ultra High Frequency (UHF) RFID tag detection based on the characteristics of Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI). This theoretical idea is demonstrated experimentally for what monitors the change of volume of water inside a glass container and distance effects. A prototype RFID measurement system are designed and tested to identify the feasibility to sense liquid with the methods of RSSI.
