Abstract

A filtenna-to-filtenna (FA-T-FA) cross polarization converter (CPC) with 1-bit phase resolution is investigated in this paper. Based on the 1-bit characteristic of the CPC, a filtering transmitarray (TA) is achieved. The unit cell of the TA consists of two back-to-back magneto-electric (ME) dipole antennas and matching vias. Different arrangements of matching vias can generate the 1-bit phase variation.
