Abstract

A novel Discrete Wavelet Transformer (DWT) approach to compute synchronized phasor is presented in this paper. Under steady state, the error in the phasor obtained by the proposed algorithm is very small, i.e. 0.001 p.u. in magnitude error and 0.05 in angle error. During transient and considering frequency deviation. The performance of the proposed algorithm is far higher than that in FFT.
