Abstract

The Morlet rotational integral wavelet transform was proved, in both practice and mathematical theory, to be effective to detect edges with certain directions. The present paper studies a bank of rotational wavelets of which each is similar to the Morlet wavelet. Experiments are carried out for a number of classical functions in mathematical analysis. They show the effectiveness of the rotational method with different types of kernel functions. © World Scientific Publishing Company.
