Abstract | In order to make clear the interaction mechanism of single component epoxy in cementitious environment, the interaction between epoxy resin and active silanol, epoxy resin and alkali was investigated From solid-state C NMR and FT-IR tests, it is confirmed that silanol group can initiate epoxy resin. Test results have also revealed that alkali as the dominant product of cement hydration can open the epoxide ring making epoxy harden. |
