Abstract | The change of electrical resistivity can be used to monitor the hydration in cement-based materials. A non-contacting electrical resistivity measurement device was invented to detect the hydration of cement-based materials. This measurement overcomes the polarization effect and contacting problem between specimen and electrode in conventional method. The principle, equation derivation, experimental process about the non-contacting method is also given in this paper. An application of electrical resistivity used to interpret the effect of calcium sulfate on the hydration of cement. |
