Abstract | This study was designed to investigate the importance of internal environmental locus of control in the context of edible insect restaurants. More specifically, this study proposed that four sub-dimensions of internal environmental locus of control, such as green consumers, environmental activists, environmental advocates, and recyclers positively affect the image of edible insect restaurants. In addition, it was hypothesized that image helps to enhance behavioral intentions including intentions to use, word-of-mouth intentions, and willingness to pay more. For this, 394 samples were collected in South Korea. The results showed that green consumers, environmental activists, and environmental advocates play an important role in the formation of image of edible insect restaurant. Furthermore, image had a positive influence on intentions to use, word-of-mouth intentions, and willingness to pay more. |
