Abstract

This study examines the role of institutional complexity in innovation performance of emerging market multinationals (EMMs). This relationship also depends on top management team (TMT)-related factors, i.e., TMT foreign ties and TMT heterogeneity, and the stage of EMMs' international expansion. The empirical testing utilizes a panel data of Chinese EMMs' internationalization and innovation activities.
