Abstract

Hidden databases which can only be accessed through the restrictive web interface have attracted much attention in recent years. This paper presents a survey on random drill-down sampling for aggregate estimation, especial size estimation, of a hidden database with form-like drop-down list interface. Various approaches are proposed for the purpose of getting an accurate size estimation efficiently.
