Abstract

Avoidance behavior is an important cognitive experience for human beings. The research on verbs of avoiding at home and abroad usually focuses on analyzing the semantic features of implicit negation and discourse game effects of such verbs, but there is a lack of studies of the deep syntactic and semantic analysis of them. This paper selects five disyllabic avoidant verbs as the research object, uses the theory of dependency grammar, and analyzes the syntactic and semantic characteristics of these verbs based on large-scale corpora, which can deepen the research on them. The results of this research can also further improve the existing Chinese dictionaries. This research has important reference value for Chinese language research, Chinese language teaching, and dictionary compilation.
