Abstract | Over the past centuries, the principle divide et impera (divide and rule) appears to have sustained its wide appeal. This is because it is believed that by fragmenting the complete picture of reality and breaking it into smaller units, it allows for their respective better control and domination. What is often forgotten in this context, however, is to ask for the impact that the fragmentation caused by this division has on the system in its entirety? |
