Abstract | Educators worried about the increasing young population staying with inactive life nowadays ,based on the findings of reviewed by Temmel and Rhodes (2013), not only the western researchers would aware the inactive life, but also the Asia would concern the relationship among inactive (sedentary, sitting and screen time etc.) fitness, self-esteem, and academic achievement. With the continuous updating and progress of electronic products, could be used in early childhood education, and the popularization of physical activities data are also kind of inspiration for early childhood physical education. The purpose of this study are to examine the feasibility of using technology, wearable activity tracker to collect data and record for young children (age range 3-6 years), to investigate the relationship among those data of physical activities (PA), BMI and quality of napping in kindergarten, and indicate and reflect the health status for children, teachers and parents to involve, motivate and promote the healthy and active life in kindergarten. (This is one of the sub studies registered as big data research in National Educational Technology Research Platform.) |
