Abstract | In industry, vibration has been found to be a significant factor that associates with failures in machines| ,such as wear, malfunction, noise, and structural damage. Evaluation of the level of vibration changes has become an important issue in maintenance programs. Equipment condition monitoring could provide a I systematic approach for analysis the effect of machine vibration on system functionality. This paper a proposes a signal analysis technique which evaluates vibration levels with spectrum analysis to discriminate I between normal random variations and abnormal signatures trends. The paper explains how to use it to solve design problems as well as to establish the cause of chronic malfunctions and failures. The equipment condition monitoring system is been developed and applied in the Companhia de Electricidade de Macau (CEM). |
