Abstract

To improve the safety and reliability of distributed drive electric vehicles, fault-tolerant control research is conducted in this paper. This paper compares fault-tolerant control of motor sudden shutdown fault in electric vehicles based on proportion integration and derivation (PID) controller and Fuzzy controller, to guarantee stability in the event of a distributed electric vehicle motor fault. The results show that both PID and Fuzzy controllers can be used to stabilize the vehicle speed and help achieve fault tolerant control of steering in low-speed single lane change (SLC) conditions, with the fuzzy controller being more effective.
