Abstract	《论语‧八佾篇》有两章记孔子对禘礼的评说，一章是记孔子“禘自既灌而往者，吾不欲观之矣。”另一章是记孔子回答时人之问，说“不知也；知其说者之于天下也，其如示诸斯乎。”学界对这两章的研究极少。然而这两章与孔子思想尤其是天下观有密切的关系：孔子为什么提到禘礼时说“吾不欲观之”？他认为禘礼与治理天下有怎样的关系？这值得探讨。历代注释家从不同角度阐释其内涵，朱子的阐释尤其重要，且对后代注解产生重要的影响。了解孔子禘说的背景、思想内涵，更能了解孔子丰富多彩的思想。
