Abstract

Numerical simulation of non-isothermal stagnation-point flow is investigated by solving a set of governing partial differential equations with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software, and results are compared with those obtained from similarity solution for different aspect ratios and Prandtl numbers. Study shows that temperature profiles obtained from numerical simulation and similarity solution are in good agreement. Results from numerical simulation find that it is always overestimated than those predicted by similarity solution. © 2010 American Institute of Physics.
