Abstract | Stator permanent magnet (PM) motors, namely, flux-switching PM (FSPM) motor, double salient PM (DSPM) motor and flux reversal PM (FRPM) motor, have attracted more and more attentions for a lot of fields. In despite of the different PMs location, the three kinds of stator PM motors share several features [1] in the structure, such as both of the PMs and armature windings are housed in the stator, the rotor is designed to be a simple iron core with salient teeth and the concentrated non-overlapping armature windings are usually adopted. However, this kind of motor suffers from the design limitation and the further power density improvement due to the concentrated non-overlapping armature windings structures. |
