Abstract	周公摄政或称王是中国经学史、史学史上的一件大事，也是一件迄今尚未取得共识的千年学术讼案。中国学者素来或主张周公摄政，或主张称王。顾颉刚和井上源吾分别是研究周公的中、日学者。顾颉刚对记载周公的一手材料《周书》几篇诰文、金文铭文进行全面而深入的研究，结合二手材料先秦汉代儒家相关的文献记载，主张周公称王说。井上源吾则从思想史角度，根据孟子、荀子所处的时代背景、两人的思想学说，指出周公摄政或称王是荀子“制造”出来的，周公没有摄政或称王。顾、井上两人在文献研究、史学概念有所不同。这也许是个别中、日学者研究的不同。
